How Can We Have Moral Direction If God Controls Everything?

Apparently, unless the card is in the hands of a theist, the individual isn't a real victim.

Oh, grow the fuck up. In a country where some states actually bar non-believers from holding office a claim that there's no oppression of atheists is specious at best.
That's what you consider oppression? Oppression is when someone unjustly takes away the rights of someone else. Holding office, is not a right. Therefore no oppression.

Being able to run for public office is a right. The supreme court already made that clear. Atheists have the right to run for office and that the ban is unconstitutional

No.......things like food, water, shelter, clothing........having those things is a right. And apparently atheists don't always have the "right" to run for office.

I attended Catholic schools throughout my childhood and adolescence. We didn't have Civics, but we did have Social Studies, a class in which we learned about our God given rights, and how all other people, including non-Catholics, had the same rights. We also learned how we should behave in relation to the world, and were encouraged to take an active part in the world, through evangelization, conservation of nature, donating to food shelters, etc.

There are no gawd given rights, you nimrod.

So, Civics fail. I'd recommend you hit up your local community college to address the gaping holes in your education. Being the product of kathy-lick schools, you undoubtedly have many.

Hey, hey now. I went to Catholic school from 6th grade through graduation. But we were actually educated with the main intent being to prep us for college. The whole religion thing was just a side note.

Prepped to get a degree from college or to get a husband from college?
