I worry far less about criminals, gangsters, and Cartels than I do about psychos with guns.

Right now they buy them legally or at gun stores. You see, no one thinks they're crazy enough until just AFTER they start shooting. By then, too late.
P.S. - want to put the drug cartels out of business? Stop criminalizing drugs. All the Drug War does is give the cops another reason to stomp on our civil rights and make the cartels' activities enormously profitable.
Meanwhile, this guy gets it.

Are you in favor of illegalizing the sale of guns? If no - how then do you stop the free market of guns?
You make it illegal and enforce it. It worked very very well here.
In fact everywhere gun control is implemented as a country gun deaths plummet.
So, you'd do it like that, simples.

Why is it so difficult to implement a psychological test to acquire weapons in USA? Shouldnt this be easy for the richest country on Earth?

I agree with that legalizing drugs would cut into organized crime' s cash inflow.
Illegalizing guns would open them up a new market in the manufacture and sale of weapons. One bad side effect - the possession of illegal sub- machine guns would rise drastically - as they are the easiest repeating firearm to manufacture. ( less parts than a semi- auto.)
I would rather see " people control".

So we' re gonna jail everyone who refuses to turn in their guns huh??
Conservatively, you' re talking jailing 10 million people.....
Great plan...
Only - who is going to do it, if you turn in your guns??

Ouch, watching that hurt big time. I hope he and his son regain their peace in no time. Unfortunately with a thing like survivor's guilt, I doubt it'll be a quick ride to regaining peace.
He acted like any good father would. He's feeling guilty about a situation he should never have had to be in in the first place. So sad.

Because these DUMBFUCKS really do not know their history on even the NRA or gun laws in America.
The NRA used to be something I would have supported. It treated guns as tools and not candy. It treated them as dangerous and something to be taken seriously, when the SAFETY org started in the early part of the last century. But it got hijacked by greedy lobbyists in the late 70s and became nothing but another corporate lobby.
And this old motif of the Gunfight At the Ok Coral wild west bullshit, isn't the reality of even the 1800s. The firearm laws despite what the current NRA sells were a lot stricter back then than people would like to think.
Even George Washington signed laws regulating muskets and musket balls.
It isn't going to kill anyone to get the makers to consider how many they make and where they end up. It will actually make gun owners look good.
If they are going to argue RIGHTFULLY, "Just keep them out of the wrong hands" then they cannot hypocritically bitch when we agree we should do just that.
