What happened to the "Civil Discussion" thread?

RE: What happened to the "Civil Discussion" thread?
I'm feeling really bad now for Tibs and for the atheists who really wanted this to work. Maybe there's a better way to promote civility which will make all sides (theists and atheists) happy, but if so, we can think about it at a later time once things cool down good.

I’m pretty disappointed, tbh.

Stay tuned ... maybe. We’re doing our best to hear everyone, support Tibs and have our own opinions at the same time. The conversation probably isn’t over, so I hope no one gives up and bails.

My own personal feelings aside, the one thing I can agree with everyone on is that the more active members, the better.  I don't want to see this place devolve into the same few people having the same few tired conversations like it's some perverted, withered manifestation of Groundhog Day.

Can I check your breath?

No.

And I won't take my shirt off so you can check those, either.

I bet there's blood on your hands though!

I'm guessing it got nuked because several of us revealed what our real names are.

Revealing their real name!

RE: What happened to the "Civil Discussion" thread?
My take is that about 6 members will benefit in this. Some are already prancing around about it. How a person of religious persuasion can come in and ask for their own personal "civil" discussion area in an atheist forum, when said space would have, if you will, the survival likelihood of the celluloid dog in the hell of their description in a theistic forum completely flabbergasts me. Especially when some of them come in and post about how we're "going to hell", when the "one who judges" sees us when we die.

Tibs, you're a nice guy, but I personally think you got played on this.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I had all three of those movies.
I was looking for them the other day and I realised they must have been stolen six years ago when the ex left.
She took all the photos too, except for a small pile of photos with me in them.  :-)

So, " Beccs, please kill my ex and make sure the body's never found. Please make her suffer for as long as you can."?

Waitaminute... confused.

The announcement about the civil discussion board is gone, but the threads that were created inside of the actual civil discussion subforum are in off topic now?

No,no,no,no…..she's my little girl's mummy and we get on quite well now.
I love it that you would kill and torture for me though.
You're so sweet.  :-)
