The ones who do care are either people telling Christians they are wrong,

Saying "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" is not telling xtians they are "wrong."  It is telling them that they are not the only people on the face of the earth and an awful lot of them hate to hear that.

That seems like a bit of an exaggeration.  I don't think most Christians, Muslims, Hindus, cats, dogs, giraffes, Walmart greeters, grinches, or any other group or demographic you might mention gives a rat's behind one way or another.  Now there may be small numbers out there, just like I'm sure there are atheists who choose not to say "Christian" or "Merry Christmas", but who cares?  If someone gets offended over a card that says "Merry Christmas", then they're probably missing the point, and if someone gets upset because their Christmas card had Frosty on it, then they're missing the point as well.  In most cases, it's probably better not to generalize what a small number may believe to a large demographic unless you can show a direct relationship between the two, and not just a few fruit loops looking for something to offend them.

Where did you get that from? The term Christian was used to mean "Christ-like" and most people aren't getting their undies in a bunch over a "war on Christmas."  In fact, the guy above you posted a video about this and supposedly the war exists with retail stores.  I've shopped at at least two of them in the past week without any thought of a war on anything.  Then again, I did buy Battlefield V from Target, but that was it.  I guess that will have to do I suppose.

In the US Christmas is a National Holiday, aside from it's religious connections.  In the 2½ centuries of the country's existence all of the widely celebrated holidays have taken on a raft of particular conventions, the sum of which makes them part of American cultural tradition.

What the people ranting about a "war on Christmas" are really complaining about -- although some of them may not consciously realize it -- are perceived disruptions in this cultural tradition.  This is, of course, how traditions evolve and develop in the first place, and consequently one can visit virtually any point in history and find someone complaining about how a given holiday has lost its meaning because the old traditions are no longer being observed.

But there are also always those around adept at converting any sort of public expression into seeming support for their personal or political position.  I hardly need to name names here...
