Faith doesn't deserve to be refuted. It may be freely be dismissed without a second thought, along with those who embrace it.

Mhm, of course. That makes perfect sense, Chuck.

...So if someone discovered a cure for cancer and they were a believer, they should just be completely dismissed?

Their faith can be dismissed. If they present valid evidence for their cancer cure, then their cancer cure can not be dismissed.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

That isn't what you initially said.

Nothing can refute "faith." In that aspect it is the perfect dodge for people who insist their fairy tales are real.

Just say "I believe....I believe" long enough and you'll feel real good about absolutely nothing.

Enjoy yourself. Don't expect rational people to come along for the ride, son.

I can do better than that. Five minutes on a bong and I'm feeling great about absolutely everything and nothing at the same time.

Humanity has had a lot of ups and downs over our existence. Even all these generations later we are still dealing will issues of war, poverty, greed, exploitation, etc.

So I was thinking: if we had an eternity, could paradise be achieved? If limited time gives a small chance of creating utopia, does eternity guarantee it?

If human nature is the same in heaven as on earth, I suspect we'll all be very busy even with 'forever'.
