Buzzfeed reports Trump directed Cohen to lie to congress

Quote:And we are supposed to convict someone on the testimony of an admitted liar??
So you believe anything he's ever said is a lie ? And why would he lie about this ? He's already fucked.I doubt even he believes they would give him leniency for saying this. What makes his statements unbelievable ? Are you saying Trump an also noted liar wouldn't get one of his cronies to lie for him ?

Do I think Trump is a skunk??

Well - yeah...

But I won't convict somebody just because I don't like them.

I'd like some credible evidence.
And there you go asserting everyone is biased blah blah blah blah .

I giddily admit to being biased regarding Donald Trump.  While there is no direct evidence available to the public that he suborned perjury by instructing Cohen to lie, that's the safe bet.  It fits pretty nicely into his pattern of lying without restraint and of viewing the legal system as an obstruction.

I would be much more likely to demand evidence to support a claim that Trump ordered Cohen to tell the truth.

Nope people can judge something without evidence or bias . Especially when it's something that sounds probable. But you would rather sit on your high horse and moralize

If mike says the bob who is a persistent liar told him to lie and mike has no reason to lie as it doesn't benefit him . Then there is a reasonable probability mike telling the truth and bob did it , And it doesn't make people who accept bob's words as serious probability "biased "

Well, allegedly (if you bothered to read the article) there is physical evidence in form of emails and text messages that have been turned over to the authorities so...

Emails and text, while evidence - are not physical evidence.

And without seeing them, their alleged existence isn' t evidentiary.

And if you count such as evidence - the xtian argument of " it' s in the Bible" would match your level of " proof".

Yes they are unless those emails are made of magic they are physical evidence

Quote:And without seeing them, their alleged existence isn' t evidentiary.
So you have to directly see them too accept they exist . Do you apply this for every claim ?

So your saying that if emails of him confessing to the crime were found you would dismiss them as equal to the bible ? You are comparing concepts like a man rising from the dead and 3 days of darkness to lying to the FBI about getting help from a foreign government to win an election ?

Well, no. Mundane claims don’t require the level of evidence that supernatural claims do, so in this case, emails and texts (if their authenticity could be verified) would absolutely be corroborating, physical evidence of a verbal claim. In any case, it’s a moot point because Mueller is disputing the report.

It's not really moot, since online biker is vindicated in his skepticism. People absolutely believed the buzzfeed report, which made references to emails that supposedly corroborated their story. We haven't seen those emails, and have no idea of what they say or even if they exist. The level of faith that people had in the buzzfeed report was somewhat like the faith that mormons have in the existence of the golden plates that the book of mormon was supposedly copied from.

Of course, we don't know how inaccurate the buzzfeed report is.  We only know that it was at least inaccurate enough to make Mueller feel the need to speak up.

I must disagree as the story of the golden plates is quite a bit less mundane then the existence of emails regarding foreign intervention . But indeed the Mueller affair is of note though again he only said inaccurate not untrue .
