What do you think, guys?  Are the walls really closing in on Trump?  Or do we need a reality check that no matter what gets unearthed on this guy, those spineless ass-lickers in the senate are never going to turn on him? It’s so hard not to froth at the mouth; I’ll be honest...

I'd love for Trump to be impeached, but I highly doubt that the Republicans will give enough of a shit about the rule of law as it applies to the President to make it happen. In the last two years, have they actually expressed any desire to do so?

Even if the House manages to push articles of impeachment through, the Senate requires a 2/3 supermajority to convict. We have 53 Republican senators, 45 Democratic senators, and two independents who both caucus with the Dems. This would require about 20 Repubicans to vote for conviction. Can you name 20 Republican senators with the balls to stand up to Trump? And that's not to mention the fact that both presidents to be impeached were acquitted.

I saw this as well, but one of the reporters on this article, is known to have a checkered past, inventing sources and quotes.

So I think it should be met with some skepticism, of a too good to be true type.

People absolutely believed the buzzfeed report, which made references to emails that supposedly corroborated their story. We haven't seen those emails, and have no idea of what they say or even if they exist. The level of faith that people had in the buzzfeed report was somewhat like the faith that mormons have in the existence of the golden plates that the book of mormon was supposedly copied from.

Of course, we don't know how inaccurate the buzzfeed report is.  We only know that it was at least inaccurate enough to make Mueller feel the need to speak up.
I must disagree as the story of the golden plates is quite a bit less mundane then the existence of emails regarding foreign intervention . But indeed the Mueller affair is of note though again he only said inaccurate not untrue .

I'm not sure why you would be lenient with unsubstantiated mundane beliefs. Evidence for the mundane abounds.  Tell me that you have golden plates (a mundane claim) and I will want to see them.  Tell me that there are damning emails, and I want to see them.

It looks like Mueller’s team has killed the buzzfeed claims, by indicating they are inaccurate.

So much for trusting buzzfeed, for relying on a report from a discredited journalist. Seem this coming from a mile way. And you wonder why people don’t trust the media.

“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller’s office, said.”

I was referring to the context of how the plates were acquired

I don’t know why you’d rely on Buzzfeed in the first place, or why the fact that the story has been refuted means you can’t trust the media. No one lied to you. All the major media outlets were very clear that the story had yet to corroborated.

I didn’t rely on Buzzfeed for anything, but a variety of networks repeated the buzzfeed story, giving it legitimacy, when it had the veracity of a tabloid.

Trump called it fake news, and he was right.
