I'm sure that you do, but for clarity, nothing that your'e offering is or is meant to be anything to do with gods, correct?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. None of these things have anything to do with gods, you're wasting your time, and everyone else's... with the endless gish gallup.
Whatever you say Gae, I like talking about these topics and subjects, regardless of whether you understand what any of it has to do with my theistic beliefs. If you’re not personally interested in these subjects, no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to participate, yet here you are.
What he means is that you're hijacking the thread when it's clearly a thread about god. If you want to discuss something other than god, create a new thread to discuss it. Otherwise, talk about what the original post intended for this thread.

He's not, he's just bullshitting me whenever it's convenient. He doesn't want to say the obvious and silly thing.

It has nothing to do with whatever you have in mind by the word god/s.
Since we don’t have an agreed upon definition of the term god, I prefer to avoid using the term when possible.

It hardly matters, you should know what it is that -you're- talking about, and if you can't or won't articulate whatever the relationship between whatever you think a god is and any of these things you've been discussing, that's entirely your own problem.

Try harder. In my view you haven’t really thought through your belief in morality as subjective, and that you’re going to stumble your way into inconsistencies and contradictions. Trying to work through those, would probably help you get a better grasp on what’s true here.
You clearly take issues with suggesting your moral beliefs, are akin to taste, like your likes and dislikes. In my view thats because like me you recognize it as objective, even if some other part of you wants to deny this, or finds it problematic for your other beliefs, like your atheism.

It doesn't matter if he has or hasn't thought it through, or if it is or isn't a true statement of the nature of morality. An atheist can take any position on morality that doesn't include reference to gods.
Meanwhile, descriptive moral subjectivity is a true statement on the nature of human morality regardless of whether or not moral realism is a true statement on the nature of morality. Desciptive moral subjectivity is the acknowledgement that even if there is a meaningful objectivity to be had in moral proclamations, people can and do mistake their subjectivity for it, as you do, when you equivocate between what is beautiful and what is right, for example.
-aaaaand all of this, all of it is about people, what we can and can't apprehend, and which of our statements reflect one category or another. People are not gods. Whatever it is you mean by a god, I assume it isn't people.

I think Robvalue and other atheists who think morality is subjective are laboring under a false dichotomy. Absolute objectivity or subjectivity are not the only choices. Objectivity can be relative too. I think it is perfectly reasonable to be an atheist who supports objective morality rather than moral nihilism if one acknowledges that morality is relative to human concerns rather than merely subjective. We do, after all, possess common objective characteristics, our human nature, upon which we can build our moral considerations.

Yet it’s almost always atheist like Rob who suggests morality is subjective. Maybe you think this is just a coincidence, but for me it’s a common symptom or side effect of it. Particularly for atheists trying to be somewhat consistent, by denying anything that even has the whiff of teleology.
