Still missing the point. Thallus existing would not mean donkeys or snakes talk. Just like Plato existing would not make Zeus or Apollo real gods.

The Mayans made a very real calendar, but despite what conspiracy theorist claim, it did not predict the end of the world.

Thallus wrote his regional history in about AD 52.6 Although his original writings have been lost, he is specifically quoted by Julius Africanus, a renowned third century historian. Africanus states, ‘Thallus, in the third book of his histories, explains away the darkness as an eclipse of the sun—unreasonably as it seems to me.’ Apparently, Thallus attempted to ascribe a naturalistic explanation to the darkness during the crucifixion.  So Thallus must've lived in the area at the time, right? So he's writing from memory

Maybe writing centuries later they got some of their "facts" wrong??

Have you heard of the wicked bibles. In 1632 they accidentally missed out NOT in one of the ten commandments.

It said "Thou Shalt commit adultery".

This is just one of the many examples of the bible being wrong, misspelt or just making no sense.

Your every post exposes you as a theist.

If they really wanted to change it, I suppose they could add the Apocrypha.

Martydorm Hilarious Well at least you're putting a bit of effort into it now.

It took OVER 1,000 years and 40 authors, with books left out, before the first official "version" was voted on. Yea voted on. Why would an all powerful god, who blinked the universe into existence in a nanosecond, need 1,000 years and flawed humans to transcribe for him then have them "vote" on it when he is the boss? And if it is a universal manual, there would not be "versions" of that same manual. And even since the first official compiled version in 329, there have been newer "translations" that conflict with that first official "version."

A history of making claims, only means those claims were passed down through history. It does not make magic real.

This does not strike me as perfect being leading. This strikes me as humans merely passing down stories to the next generation.
