Remember, it’s just another opinion in the marketplace of ideas.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

By the by, and admittedly off topic, for $750 a night I will happily house, clothe, feed, and provide premium amenities to a family of four asylum-seekers and let them use my cable and Wi-Fi to boot. Give me 30 families and I'll buy an apartment building for them. How in the world can an agency be so inefficient that it can't provide decent and humane accommodations with that much money?

The problem with the "market place of ideas" is that some ideas, even when they are well intended, can be flat out dead wrong. Ra and Osiris and Horus and Isis were never real gods no matter how much we look at their monuments and artwork and find them amazing and pretty.
The downside to the "marketplace of ideas" is that they can and to lead to bullies getting political power, like Hitler and Stalin.
Don't get me wrong. I will lean to defending expression but also lean to defending criticism and blasphemy of that idea.
The only time I really put my foot down, is when that "idea" gets to the point of promoting oppression.

They’re efficient profit generators for the stakeholder. Literal body farms.

It SOUNDS good - but you re not factoring in all the costs.
Like what it cost to apprehend, transport and guard those people.
They just don't show up right where you want them.
You have to chase them down - and that seriously adds to the cost.
Plus - guards don't work for free.

I don’t think that MA intended to be a concentration camp guard in the first place.
The only reason these people have to run is the treatment they can expect to receive. Give me freedom or give me death.
That said, I guarantee you that you could get a bunch of rednecks to hunt down and “guard” some browns for a fraction of the cost(not that the employees themselves are getting rich, mind, lol). Plenty would do it for free.
It only took a handful of night riders to suppress a non caged but captive population in the tens of thousands.

Do you think we should let everyone in - who is simply looking for a better paycheck?
It' s a simple question. Can we get a simple direct answer?

Absolutely, that would boost our gdp and tax revenue. It would also eliminate any need to sneak across the border, removing the human cover from trafficking operations.
Bit like asking whether or not Georgia should let Floridians in, huh?

Apprehending them isn't part of the $750/day to house them, and transportation probably isn't either. You may find this hard to believe, but for $3,000 a day for a family of four, I can afford to hire security for just those four people, have plenty left over to house them, and make a profit for myself in the process. I'm one of those rare people who can make $21,000 a week to manage a family of four work. I'm, like, a financial genius. And I'd have a new house at the end of it, too. At the end of a year, I could spend six million dollars on keeping that family cared for, safe, AND secure, and still wind up a millionaire myself while providing jobs in my community.
It's freaking $750 per day per person!
