I like being around kids. Young kids even. They're pretty cool. I'd like to help out when I'm older at schools with botany programs with kids. They're usually not as big of assholes as adults, and it's fun to open up people's minds to new things - whatever the age. Kids, being young, are usually more open to this than adults.

So...since the vast majority of teachers seem to also enjoy this, and manage to keep their hands where they belong, I'm not sure what sort of point you're trying to make here. Those of us that like kids are borderline molesters?

PS - plenty of parents molest their children too. Teaching the kids at home to protect them from the risk of other people touching their kids is counter-intuitive.

I believe he meant that, if a man fears to send his child to a church because of a possible molester, the chances are quite the same for such a thing to happen when you send him to school. And if you're really obsessed with the idea of 'exposing' your kids, to teach them yourself.

Anyway, I'm sure that no one would be afraid that a woman teacher would sexually molest his child, and the physical attacks are less likely to happen from a woman than from a male (man). So when the topic is 'child molestation from a teacher' they mostly (or always) refer to men, not women.

Yes, you can. All it takes is someone in authority....let's make up a title...we'll call him the fucking pope... to turn the bastard over to the police instead of moving him to another diocese where he can hunt for fresh victims.

I'm sure the student boys did not fall 'victims'. The male students can fall victims only to male teachers.

No, you can't. Unfortunately, the Catholic Church has enough money to pay every Catholic molester. Remember that the catholic church has gathered a lot of coin from the catholic countries for over a thousand years (and may still do that now). As about other molesters (not catholic), you can stop them only after they did that evil. And "jail" is not such a fearful punishment, so other molesters may not fear that much what would happen if they get caught.

As about children, yeah, I guess you're right... a parent would ask that that woman to be thrown in jail.

But that STILL does not deal with the question of criminal behavior by these fucking priests and the massive cover up by the church itself. You appear to have expected that the Catholic Church cares to do 'good'. If the Catholic Church would be purged of its 'evildoings' there would be no Catholic Church left. I'm sure that, if the Catholic Church still could, it would have butchered every one that opposes it and denies it - so how 'holy' can you expect its clergy to be? If they protect the molesters, this proves how themselves are like: the same evil as the accused ones. Who knows, perhaps even the Catholic Pope is 'loving' children. So how could he really take measures against child molestation??

I don't think that things can be covered up forever. Anyway, there have been even 3 catholic popes at once, as I remember (political problems), and they weren't very nice one to another. I guess the real issues were only hidden from the laymen (while kings and lords and priests all knew how things were going). Too bad that in the medieval age, if a country attempted to separate itself from the authority of the Catholic Pope, his country would have been declared 'free to be conquered', and the pope would have promised eternal life for the one that brought the head of the rebellious king. Europe has escaped hardly from the claws of the Pope.
