I remember in the late 80's early 90's the Lubavitcher hasidic community in Brooklyn ( what a Jewish pal of mine referred to as "the curlies" ) were all claiming that their grand rabbi, menachem schneerson was the messiah...(moshiach). Everyhwere you went in Brooklyn there was shit like this
