We'll never get it quite right. Everyone who ever wrote a book has had a viewpoint, raised in a particular culture with a particular set of values.

Still, I think we have to do the best we can. Accept that perfect objectivity is impossible, but make that your aim. Then hope that the next guy who comes along can help you refine what you've said. It's a dialectic.

I have gotten it right.  Beyond right.  Undeniably right.  Would you care to take the red pill and find out the truth?  If so, send me a PM.

Well... Napoleon did rid the world of the inequity of the Spanish Inquisition.  So there's that.

I mean, really he just needed a better P.R. department and have some cute peasant lass put the royal trappings on his head. "Ruler-ship by the people's choice, for the people." Kind of thing.

Cheers.

From what I hear, what is said about the Spanish Inquisition is largely a smear campaign by the protestants.  Who were no angels themselves.  Also, I never said that Napoleon wasn't an asshole.  But he was a damn good general.  As for his defeat in his retreat from Russia, I heard that what caused most of the deaths was typhus from lice.  Which may or may or may not be true.  Also, I heard that the buttons that held the soldiers uniforms together were made of tin.  And in really cold temperatures, tin will break apart.  Which could account for much of how the cold got to the soldiers.

The story of the Vietnamese war was written by the victors too.

Do you have any better reasons for despising history, other than a list of quotes?

Boru

Yes.  Tons of them.  But none I can discuss here.  If you want to know some true history, send me a PM.

No.  The objective was to make money for the military industrial complex.  Any sane person would have known that it was a war that couldn't be winnable.  Because to win would have meant sending troops into North Vietnam.  Which would have been the Korean war all over again.  So instead, along with having North Vietnam as a safe base from U.S. ground troops, the North Vietnamese also had Laos and Cambodia.

Did your red pill teach you that gay people are bad?
I hope you get banned from the forum soon.

Just for the record, I will do this on one condition, and it's one only a mod can satisfy:

The rules say that "Posting the contents of private correspondence with other members is not allowed."

If I can get confirmation from someone with the authority to enforce the rules that this does not apply to merely summarising the contents of PMs, then and only then will I PM redpill. Because, quite frankly, this is a discussion forum and showing up and hinting at having tantalysing information and then refusing to divulge said information (repeatedly) really strikes me as attention whoring, borderline trolling, and just plain bad form.

Nay_Sayer posted that he PM'd you, as requested. Did he flip out and is now gone from the forum, after you enlightened him about your revolutionary tech? Or are you just full of shit? You're providing a strange kind of amusing entertainment. Rolleyes Just a note- if everyone you meet on a given day is an asshole, maybe it isn't them.
