If I were a Scot living in Scotland this morning, I'd be banging on the table shouting "INDEPENDENCE NOW!" I might imagine.

It's really a legal nicety more than anything else, but the Articles of Union state that Great Britain shall consist of the kingdoms of England and Scotland.  If Scotland leaves, 'Great Britain' (politically) ceases to exist.  And if Northern Ireland ever leaves (not bloody likely), the 'United Kingdom' will vanish in a puff of semantics.

But I suspect you're right about Scotland.  The independence movement has gained quite a bit of traction in the last few years.  This election could be the kicker.

Boris Johnson is currently in a meeting with the Queen, the entirety of which will remain completely secret legislatively, and the BBC commentator said she thought the Queen might well be warning/expressing concern about the integrity of the union. Do you work for the beeb Boru? ; )

You'd better send her an Xmas card or you might be forgotten and get left out of the will ; )

The Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) won 13 more seats at this election, meaning they now hold a whopping great 80% of the seats in Scotland. Independence referendum 2 seems...deserved? Probs not the right word but, yeah, and I reckon the motion would pass this time if it were held.

Give the margins in question, that's very unlikely.

What is a "stolen" election please Boru? Is it a reference to hypothetical Russian interference perhaps?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that OLB is responding to the issue of some Democrats claiming that Trump 'stole' the election.  I could be wrong, though (I frequently am).

I don't think it was stolen really then, more won fairly, but for the wrong reasons. The Cons promised to get Brexit done, no more faffing about, whereas Labour promised a second referendum. Believe you me, the UK population is SICK TO THE BACK TEETH of Brexit, and just want it over and done with. There is also the unfortunate affliction affecting the Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, in that, IMO he appears to have ZERO charisma. So, basically, people voted not with their heads but more with their, er, fee fees.
