The day before Bryant was killed, LeBron James beat his all-time scoring record.

AND. seriously? This is Alex Jones bullshit here.

Kobe was retired for years. It is quite common in EVERY PRO SPORT for a current player to surpass a prior player's record. I hope you are not suggesting that if Tom Brady were to suddenly die Joe Montana should be the prime suspect.

Not sure there is a conspiracy here. Just a seemingly odd chain of events.

Kobe died because of the helicopter's pilot and or maintenance issues, not because little green men were out to get him.

S-76 safety record indicates 51% of accidents are pilot induced, a further 27% are other Operation Deficiencies. The type has a twin turbine powerplant so loss of one engine shouldn't be irrecoverable. Overall the type has a good safety record (3.9 accidents per 100,000 flight hours compared to average of 10.95 per 100,000 flight hours for all helicopters).

I didn't see anyone suggest that Kobe died because of the whole record thing. It was just pointed out that it's weird. It is.

Statistically - the helicopter flight is way safer than the drive to the helipad.

Especially if the pad is on the roof of the building you're in.

How do you know it was the pilot or maintenance? Could have been weather, could have been bird strike, could have been lots of things. Don't jump to conclusions.

I just meant weird coincidence.

CNN just said 9 bodies.

No one’s suggesting anything of the kind, you fucking lunatic twatwaffle. You didn’t understand brewer’s comment, so I was explaining it to you.

There’s no conspiracy, there’s no suspects, there’s no suggestion of little green men, you great galloping dimwit. All there is, is a mildly interesting coincidence.

I saw a report saying the area was quite foggy.

As usual jumping to conclusions is a thing.  After working through the evidence we may find out the sequence of events.  I prefer to wait for a while after initial reports because the rest is just filler that some people will jump on.

One of his daughters died in the crash too.  I feel bad for the family.
