I didn't hear a lot about the impeachment be honest, but heard a lot -and I mean a lot- about the Virus's outbreak.

Trump and the Republicans denied the calling of witnesses that could flip the result upside down, it was a very vague and pathetic almost-Republican only trial, Democrats got trapped, the world got busy discussing and fearing the vague Virus that mostly killed nobody but poor Chinese people.

Yes yes, it didn't have any effect on the trial *Sarcastic smile*

Only a "believer" would think that witnesses or ANYTHING would have changed the outcome of the impeachment.

Exposing the truth about somebody can lead to a very different outcome than the current; sometimes people would not see until truth gets stomped against their faces.

Instead of the image of the Republican party controlling the trial, imagine the image of a witness stating and proving what Trump did.

The second image is what haunted Republicans so much to the degree of even denying witnesses.

Trump might've walked innocent after the trial; but trying to wipe the second image and denying its painting would ring and haunt him even more.

It can even start a civil war.

Number of cases are currently doubling every 5 days.
If that rate of growth continues we're looking at the entire population of the planet in ~ 90 days...

Except that is not how epidemics or even pandemics actually work. There are simply too many other factors in play for a simplistic exponential function to be remotely close to reality.
