I guess I didn't clarify myself well enough in my original post.
I did meet Ann McCarthy in the 70s prior to the 80s. But I was not aware that she went to the rival HS I went to for the first time in the 80s. I did attach the song to her after it came out.

Must be something wrong with me - I don’t associate music with life events. The closest I ever came to it was when I bought ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ to impress a girl (I was 12 or 13, I think).
