No surprise there.

Little by little every claim and suspicion about Russiagate has turned out to be nothing. Most of the sky-is-falling assertions have been quietly dropped in favor of some new reason to be afraid. 

A few independent journalists, like Glenn Greenwald and Michael Tracey, have been saying all along that there's nothing to it. And non-corporate leftie sites like Counterpunch. The fact that CNN and MSNBC have been touting such falsehoods means we can't trust anything they say. Trump is the worst liar, but he's right when he says that the corporate media is fake news. Rachel Maddow, for example, makes millions by lying.

I think that the big corporations and their employees in Congress don't really mind Trump. They might make a show of being shocked by him, but they support most of his policies. Just this week they've voted to extend his surveillance powers, with only a handful of Dems voting against. As long as he serves the rich, they have no problem with him.

By getting us worked up about a fake scandal with nothing behind it, they distract from the real issues.
