for him the test WAS a positive result as he was not infected. he is focusing on the literal use of the word positive rather than the clinical meaning. but at the same time knows the clinical words and is trying to bridge the gap. The dude does not think in text but pictures. or though a literal process, and then has to convert to words. which can be hard to do for some especially if they have a ton of other things gong on.

That's an awfully long winded way to say that he's bad at words. Nevermind the sims stuff, this is far more interesting. Why is it that the president can't misspeak? He bumblefucks some word out of his obviously malfunctioning shit hole...and a certain subset jumps to say that, actually, it's always been pronounced eastasia.

Anyway, if I have to go through hell that's what's going to happen. Nothing I can do about that. NPCs get put through whatever the player wants them to be put through. Maybe I've done it thousands of times already, and the player draws such immense enjoyment from my fiery end that he keeps reloading the level, backing up the save.

what if is my point.

The only reason the bible is framed out in magic and mysterious God is because bronze age and iron age men wrote it. with a greater understanding comes a clearer and more concise picture of God. God is not nor ever meant to be forever shrouded in mystery. all we are doing here is putting labels or understanding to who and what God is. This does not diminish God in any way just the picture that demands God must remain hidden.

Again what if God is a supremely advanced being. didn't captain picard say any sufficiently advance race would be indistinguishable from god to a less advanced race of beings (clarks 3 laws)

If this being seeded earth or programmed it and this being hit all the high points in the bible legitly, then why wouldn't it be God even if science could label it?

All of that was already assumed. What if is a great question. To me, the what if is inconsequential. Have you considered the ramifications of the comparison to your own beliefs? Does anything stand out as troubling for you, or an issue that would cause you to reevaluate your notions of god?

There's no point in trying to argue any "wouldn't this be a god even if science cant yadda yadda yadda", and science already has a label for "advanced alien species".....advanced alien species.

That's what god is if you say so, that's the hypothetical we're engaging in...isn't it? So...what if that's true? What does it mean to or for you?
