That Gay Thread
RE: That Gay Thread
It must be exhausting to put so much energy into worrying about the sexuality/gender of everyfuckingbody on the planet.

Also, he’s not talking about his sexuality, he’s talking about his gender. 50 pages later and you’re still confused, I see.
"Queerness"  is reference to homosexuality.

Secondly, how do you figure this person's a "he" when it states thier class doesn't use references to gender?

I take it you've never heard the term "gender queer."

You’re right. I may have mis-gendered this person. My mistake.

In any case, instead of pretending like you’re just curious, why don’t you tell us what how how you actually feel about this individual?

For the record, in practice, queerness tends to refer to a broader spectrum of gender oddities than just homosexuality. So, the Professor’s odd gender identity, not liking to use Mr. or Mrs., is likely something their students will likely pick up on.

And the OED seems to have amended their definition of “queerness” to reflect that:
Quote: queerness noun
/ˈkwɪənəs/
/ˈkwɪrnəs/
[uncountable]
the quality of having or showing a sexual identity or gender identity that is different from traditional ideas about sex and gender, for example if somebody is non-binary, bisexual or transgender
Your preferred dictionary might not yet have caught up with it, but if the OED (probably the gold standard for English-language dictionaries) has, it probably will fairly soon.

It must be exhausting strawmaning tf out of everything. If you bothered to read my post, I was talking about 6 year olds discussing sexuality.

What's your opinion on that.

Only to be continually wrong about your opinions no less. Huggy diaper, a tragic tale of overdosing on stupidity.

Except this person explicitly states they don't want thier gender referenced. So why in this context, would children asking about your 'gender queerness',🙄 be the favorite part of your job?

I think what bothers us is your inconsistency in remaining on topic. We could be discussing the color yellow, and seemingly out of nowhere you'll make an appearance to discuss square peg holes.

Where does it say that?

Queer can mean nonbinary it doesn't have to mean sexual orientation or have anything to do with sex Dodgy

But even if she was referring to who was attracted to. What does it matter? People do realize there is more to being gay than just sex right? They also mention in another post their students have met their partner.

Given the context in the screenshot, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that they were referring to their refusal to fit within the gender binary. Teacher identifies as neither “Mr.” nor “Mrs.”, that’s certainly something that first-graders can pick up on as something unusual.
