Pretty common knowledge on the boards for a time, but alot of folks moved on I suppose...and it's not much of a current thing with me, what with all the happily married super devoted husband and dad business. A significant part of joining the service and then going inf instead of any other thing I qualified for was shedding a childhood image - getting the fuck out of dodge (mostly the people...), and quelling my own internal doubts about my masculinity. Mission accomplished, I'd say.

My joining the military also had a whole lot to do with getting out of Dodge, so I get that. Reason number one was being able to support my girls but it's a close tie with getting out of Dodge.

I don't need confetti to deal with considering the amount of fur I vacuum up every other day. sigh

Nope, I respect service members and vets, but there's a reason gay people overwhelmingly think this is a joke. Firstly, the tweet was put out by war criminals, not by gay service members, so let's get that out of the way first.

First I never said you didn't respect them so strawman. Second, it was released by the marine core who are not all war criminals (there is that tendency towards reductionism again) 

No one said gay service members can't have their own little symbol or whatever, or the pagans, or Satanists or whoever. They can have their own little thing. That's not what any gay person is outraged by right now. These US government bullets should be taken seriously, based on the gravity of the damage they have caused. They've killed hundreds of thousands since 9/11. Some say it's a million plus. This is not to be taken lightly, taking the government bullets that are used to unjustly kill brown people and spray painting them with a symbol that was created to stand for the exact opposite of the military industrial complex. I'm 100 % in support of the 2nd Amendment, but military bullets represent the MIC and the killing they've done and are continuing to do to brown people.

I never said you or anybody else said they couldn't so again strawman. And again the military is not defined by its worst aspect so this whole objection can be dismissed as irrational. Bullets by the military can be used justly or unjustly like any other bullets.

You bring up the police in Pride parades. Actually, a whole bunch of pride parades have kicked out the police from participating. And if you're seriously going to sit here and try to pretend that you wouldn't be offended in the least if Brianna Taylor was gunned down with a gay pride bullet out of a police gun, then I just don't believe you. You're only making a fuss here because it's me, and because you refuse to side with me on anything.

You are free to believe what you like but in reality, no one was killed with rainbow-colored bullets and I the cops put out a Twitter post with bullets with BLM colors I wouldn't care as I don't associate every bullet with  Brianna Taylor because I'm not an idiot. And your egotism that you are important enough to me that i would go to such lengths is beathtaking.

My context was if the cops did the same thing the marines did honor black cops with BLM-colored bullets it wouldn't bother me because I don't associate bullets with every bad thing the cops do.

The Nativity School of Worcester, which says the governance and control of school operations are fully independent of the diocese and receive no funding from them, vowed to appeal the bishop's decision.

Bishop Robert J. McManus Thursday cited an open letter to the school in early May as part of reason for his decision.

"I publicly stated in an open letter...that 'these symbols (flags) embody specific agendas or ideologies (that) contradict Catholic social and moral teaching,'" McManus said. "It is my contention that the 'Gay Pride' flag represents support of gay marriage and actively living a LGBTQ+ lifestyle."

"This is also true of 'Black Lives Matter,'" McManus said.
