True however the bible math some Christians use makes my conclusions look reasonable and sane want me to make it 666? Watch this Cool Shades !
66 books; man was created on the 6 day so 6 is the number of man.
Man threw out 7 books from the bible so its 66 for books and 6 for man so its 666.

Did you see that one where Bill Gates name is calculated to the 666 (By Christians!)?

I made this one up on my own however did someone else see it in the wild by Christians?

I've noticed that quite a bit of what you say is stuff you made up on your own.

For example your extremely accurate 99.999999% figure is something you imagined. Your frequent diagnosis that various people are schizophrenic, even though (correct me if I'm wrong) you're not licensed to make such diagnoses. Your assertions that the only Christians to disagree with your theology are people who went insane.

Granted, the idea that "Blaze" Pascal was schizophrenic is the funniest thing I've read all day.

I'm sure it's true that a lot of Christians make their arguments in the same way. They are happy to use hyperbole, over-generalizations, straw man characterizations, and flat out falsehoods. If this is how your church taught you to argue when you were young I think that's unfortunate.

I think that we all have a duty to speak as accurately and fairly as we can. The fact that some Christians use crazy "math" doesn't lessen that duty for the rest of us.

If you want responses from christians only you might be on the wrong web site.

And should probably change you're "Religious View" to anti-theist.

I can use the same loose (read non existent) standarts of interpretation christians use to also prove that christieanity is literally satanism and founded on Satan? Want me to do that? Smile

If you start using christian standards of interpretation everything goes.

Anti-theist and proud.

Hard to say I was under the impression that this was the VS christian section, correct me if you I'm wrong.

I welcome you to epistemologicaly challenge it without nullifying 99% of all estimates of populations and views.

Poling data uses a limited subset of a population, if this is valid so is me using a limited subset of the christian population. If this is not valid so is about every poling data on every political subject.

Pick your poison.
You notice I use 99% as a synonym for "practically every X". Want to challenge that this is not mathematically sound?

OK. I was previously on a different forum that was atheist for atheists and did have a VS section for most religions.
Is here not something like this?
Do you have a local religious population?

I like to get informed on these things.

Yes, but there are very few of them (3 active?) and most have their own agenda's.

I suppose I could play devil's advocate and take the christian position so that you can have your argument. But not the smart christian's that Bel refers to because they are boring and don't represent the majority of christians.

Evidence can't change Christian's mind because they are not open minded.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
