I know, but I would hate to see somebody get into shit because they managed to answer an uncomfortable question truthfully and thoughtfully. All that he's done is confirm that he..like every other human being and any human culture that has ever existed, has some line beyond which a whole range of bad action becomes justified or palatable. If that's a threat, all of our existences are a threat to each other.
Trumpers believe that line has been crossed. They're doing what any number of us would do, as much as we'd like to imagine otherwise, in the situation that they believe they are in. Hiss loss will demoralize some, and cause them to reassess their previous take on the pulse of this country - but for others, committed trumpers, it will only push them further down the rabbit hole towards domestic terrorism.

I don’t disagree, which I why I’m affording him the opportunity to make it right before any action is taken.
That said, ‘I will hurt you’ - regardless of any qualifiers that follow - comes off as threatening language, even though the odds of it being converted into actual, physical harm are non-existent.
It isn’t so much a question of whether Winter is a threat to you (he clearly isn’t) as it is the language he used.

No. Nothing in the question implicitly accuse trump of not ensurIng a Peaceful transfer before. Before it was’t his to ensure. The question is will he ensure a peaceful transfer now.
The shit storm is based on the answer analogous to “I Might Not beat my wife, But only till I feel like Beating her again”
In this case even trump is less dishonest than you. So it would be risible to say “if YOU are honest about it”

That's his negotiating piece. He has something we love that he would just as soon destory - american democracy.
We have something that he desperately needs and cannot leave office without - some kind of immunity or assurance of his future after office.
I'm sure he'll make a trade. It will only be remarkable for the cheapness of the price of american democracy as valued by the man who stands to benefit the most from destroying it.

Dishonest question: (akin to have you quit beating your wife) "Will you commit to a peaceful transfer of power after the election"?
Honest question - "If you lose the election will you conceed to the winner?"
See the difference?

Let me draw you a picture - your analytical skills suck.
The first question negates a simple yes or no answer because it forces the person questioned to accept a state that doesn't exist. Sure - he MAY lose the election - but at this point he hasn't and to ask a question predicated on that possible outcome is dishonest.
Got it?
