Yes yes, we know you love to nitpick my writing because it's all you have aside from falsely accusing me of stalking.  The big difference is you haven't made a huge performance of pretending to ignore me. Only then to respond to me. Only then to make a big deal again about how you're going to ignore me again and again and again. It gets to a point where it hard to take it seriously.

The point, as I see it, is that a ballistics vests stated purpose is to be a measure in case someone shoots you in the torso - in the same manner a seatbelts stated purpose is to ameliorate, although in a limited fashion, a vehicle collision when applied.

Both, gun wounds and vehicle collisions, without ballistics vests and seatbelts, then you're more likely fucked ... severity of circumstances notwithstanding.

Well in their emergency role they are all exclusively used in vehicles to preserve the lives of the driver and passengers. While ballistic vests can be used in this role (being shot while in a vehicle )  It's application is much broader.
