Gotta wonder why these folks think that gods write books at all.  Why not put the instructions in the food, in the water, in the air?

Film rights and residuals.

It's not necessary to understand the Qur'an's overall message, not specific Arabic grammar aspects that were mistranslated.

Like all those mystery letters and the endless possibilities for misinterpretation that the structure of arabic script and language come packaged with? I love the parts where the narrator assumes that the reader would be familiar with some thing by dropping a word offhand that no one can figure out to this day.

That's strike two for god as a smart cookie. Not only did it pick a book - it picked a shit language for writing books...in a culture that didn't write.

Just a hop and a skip across the desert the chinese had been operating presses for nearly 1k years..but fuck them and fuck that, I guess...who knows.

Yes. I am pleased to show you the immorality and mistakes of Islam.

Here is a huge mistake.

Quran (2:228) - "and the men are a degree above them [women]"

To think that a god, even the satanic Yahweh would create some souls as less than other souls, is showing how immoral such a satanic god would be.

Gnostic Christians have tied equality of souls to the righteousness of god.

The Christian/Muslim god is not righteous of you believe that quote. Right?

Quote:How many atheists did the inquisitions murder?

Probably none. If they killed any atheists at all, it was done incidentally, and not because they were atheists.

True, but you can ignorantly disagree.

None of the various inquisitions targeted atheists for being atheists. The were charged only with investigating cases of Catholic heresy, specifically Jews or Muslims who may have falsely converted to Christianity to save their skins. The Spanish and Portuguese inquisitions, for instance, were expressly prohibited from targeting anyone who was not a self-professed Christian.

Given that less than 3% of all people ever brought before an Inquisitorial Tribunal were executed, coupled with the fact the open atheists were a pretty rare bird in those days, it seems extremely unlikely that more than a tiny handful of atheists were executed.

But perhaps I’m wrong (it’s been known to happen), so I’ll reconsider my position if you can give me just three examples of atheists executed by the inquisitions for the crime of atheism.

Take your time.

I will indeed. Thanks for the advice.

I will take whatever time it takes for you to stop moving the goal post.

We went from just killing atheists to something different.

The goal posts have not been moved. I claimed that the various inquisitions killed few, if any, atheists for being atheists. You disagreed with that. I asked you for supportive evidence. And (just now) you made a false claim to avoid answering.
