Keep dreaming- he's not going to be convicted of anything.
Civil laws suits are not criminal charges. He's going to be sued in civil court at a minimum.
Which is why he can’t be ‘sued’ for inciting violence.
Glad to see you know the difference.

Fun point came up this morning. The members of Congress who are claiming the Presidential vote was somehow rigged took the oath of office without blushing. The same ballot that is "invalid", "rigged", or "a fraud" for the Presidential votes is "valid", "honest", or "absolutely not a fraud" for them.
I picture a hyperspace section of the paper ballots that allow two different versions to be used as needed by "the Left". And if this was true why didn't the Left vote the Congressmen out of office at the same time?

Trump's phone call likely broke Georgia law. It was definitely an abuse of power.
If a President Hillary had done this, the Republicans would be demanding the death sentence.

Trump tonight called on Mike Pence to "do the right thing", meaning to recognize alternate electors and declare Trump president.
I don't think Pence will do that, but if he did, that would be the end of the United States of America. The people on this board seem to think this isn't a big deal, but it is.
If Pence declared Trump the winner, it would be overturned by the Supreme Court, but the Republican Party would be forced to play along, and the supporters would go to war to make the lie true.
This is what coddling a narcissistic criminal results in -- a moment where democracy could die with single action. He should've been removed via the 25th in his first few months.

I'm not sure that "The people on this board seem to think that this is not a big deal" is a fair assessment. Pence isn't going to do it, because even he still follows the rule of law, no matter what kind of chump pole he's been smoking up until now. The chump is on his way out, and the people who used to kiss his ass are now looking out for themselves. It's a crying shame about how stupid and accepting the US population is with their elected officials, though.
