Well, for one thing, I do not support violent mobs not matter what the cause.  I do support peaceful protests as it is our right as Americans.  I even support the Trump followers right to assemble and demonstrate their outrage even if it is sadly misplaced.  So hold your scorn for those you know for certain are guilty.

The mob last night did break into government buildings, destroy property, disrupt a government function and enter into government facilities unlawfully.  Also, police reported finding two pipe bombs and a stash of Molotov cocktails nearby.  Thankfully those were not used in the incident.  So your sugar coating is extremely thin.

And you completely missed the point.  I didn't ask for any respect; I merely pointed out that not everyone reacts to disappointment with violence.  As I recall, there was no Leftist insurrection in 2016 at all.  This Trump crowd is a particular danger to the country because they are willing to do such things.  It was never a serious threat to actually overthrow the government, but it did put people in danger.  And it was a misguided template for how real insurrections happen.  The next one will likely be much better organized.  And to anticipate your next garbage post, if any Leftist leader or group tries anything similar, I'll be the first to condemn them.
