Sure, I'll simplify it for you.
Definition of miracle
1: an extraordinary event divine intervention in human affairs the healing miracles described in the Gospels
2: an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment The bridge is a miracle of engineering.
It was the formatting that was the problem for me, reading on a cell phone. Cheers.

Not godspeak.
Some words have more than one meaning. You can add that you language confusion.
You're just against Brian at every turn. You're obsessed with him. It's sickening. There are multiple meanings for that word, too, but guess to which I'm referring.

Oh please. This isn't "anger" in the sense that I want to pass laws banning the use of the word, it is merely annoying as hell to me.
It is like having a friend who keeps repeating "The Chiefs won the Super Bowl not Tampa."
It is just annoying. I am not militant, not going to go out and riot.

But it isn't SUPPOSED to be an explanation, it's not supposed to provide answers or to conclude an investigation. When there's a house fire and the local fire chief says, 'It's a miracle no one was killed', does that mean they throw up their hands and don't investigate for cause? It's an expression. Calm down.

You are right it isn't supposed to be an explanation, but you can't tell me many on that plan explain their survival as being because of some magic hand, or superstitious luck.
And of course it won't stop an investigation. I simply get tired of hearing it.
I like what Sully said when he was asked if he said a prayer, "I didn't have time" when he landed the plain on the Hudson.
If you also remember, quite a few years ago when Wolf Blitzer asked a lady, after a tornado hit, "You have to thank God" and she responded, "actually I am an atheist." But responses like that rarely if ever get aired.
I am genuinely happy nobody died. I damned sure know how scared I am flying even without such things happening. But not all news stories have to keep using the same old cliches to convey a sense of empathy for your fellow human.
Sometimes I simply would like to see the story told without God or superstition interjected into the editing.
Yes, I understand that it's just annoying and that you don't want to ban it. Most of us here went through a stage right after we became atheists where we were annoyed by certain words associated with religion, but most of us move on from that anger stage and are happier for it. I'm sure glad I moved on from that stage and recognized how silly it was to be bothered by such minor things. And then there are people like you who still get worked up over someone saying God bless, or Minimalist who seems to be always pissed off and calls all religious people religitards. Move on from the anger and let yourself relax a little. It's nice. Trust me.

I understand you are merely trying to give me advice, but trust me, it is merely just being annoyed. I love my late mother, but we had many occasions where we drove each other crazy. I'm not going to start a riot.

Thank you for your input. It's very insightful.
It does get tedious. Could we fence it off in a directory we could put on ignore?

I had no idea what my date meant when she asked if I liked Miracle Whip.
Silly me... I assumed S + M was " Sandwich with mayo".

Unless your an empath kindly stop telling other people what they feel.
