More frustrated that things have gone off script. It's unlikely that John feels that anything important to him has been refuted...and, honestly, I don't think that any of those things really can be.

Perhaps you're right lol. But I can point to several examples in this thread where his interruption causes the other person to retreat.

People need to talk to make their thoughts coherent. To bounce their ideas off other people. Delegating a conversation to someone else is a disservice to themselves and me. Not to mention they fall victim to confirmation bias.
