Reality is an even bigger bus, gotcha.   So, same question..but now with a bigger bus.  More metal, more people.  All the metal, all the people.  BigBusGod.  Is the will of one guy on the bus to fry cabbage on the bus..the Will of the Big Bus?

You mentioned to another poster that supposing god has a brain would be foolish..more or less so than supposing that it has a will?

I am talking about metaphysical reality, you are talking about a bus. The two just aren't in any sense comparable.

There's a strange kind of myth that there was no science before that time. I'm not sure why that falsehood persists.

I've even heard that the medieval church banned research through dissection, which the Romans had done. But exactly the opposite is true.

Quote:In classical antiquity, Greek and Roman taboos had meant that dissection was usually banned, but in the Middle Ages medical teachers and students at Bologna began to open human bodies, and Mondino de Luzzi (c. 1275–1326) produced the first known anatomy textbook based on human dissection.[110][111]

They're not only comparable, they are...in fact... the same thing.   You can make the bus as grand and immense as you like - or contend that reality is just so much more immense and grand - but that won't make the single cabbage frying will of a single portion of the bus any -less- ridiculous as the Will of The Bus.

No, because reality is not a bus. If you want to stretch the bus until it includes everything, then you aren't talking about a bus or even any physical object as such but reality itself.

At this point you are just talking about the universe itself, with all the forms & matter contained within.

Sure, you can call it whatever you want - is that...when we consider all of the other everything in everything, when the single cabbage frying will of the single guy is the will of everything?

It is but one small expression of God.

Can we get a list of things which are just small expressions of god, and not the will of god?

-and maybe, lead with that next time, eh?

There is nothing that is not an expression of God, though some things may be undesirable, the same way pimples are an expression of the body they appear on.
