And what is this supposed to prove? ANYONE who's looked into the history of Latin America in the past 200 years knows it's been a history of American meddling.
I'm glad that you're aware of this. Not everyone keeps it in mind.
Since we're all currently mad at Trump, it's probably best to remember that what he's doing is normal for US presidents.

Venezuela is because of BRICS expansion. The Soviets agreed not to expand so close to the US - why is BRICS escalating world war 3?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Not quite normal. The closest thing we had to a precedent for this was Noriega, but at least we had the decency to indict Noriega on real charges and not just randomly abduct him.

Yes, that makes sense.
Each regime change, each theft of natural resources, is a little different. Justifications and results vary.
Trump is maybe the first to not bother with any kind of political theater or justification. We want it, we're tough, we take it.
I'm curious what will happen to the unfortunate Venezuelans who now live on top of Trump's oil. I hope their country doesn't collapse into chaos, as happened in other US interventions.

FWIW, American interventionism is top-of-mind for a great majority of non-USians.

(Bold mine)
So do I. But people who know more about this than I do are saying that a Venezuelan civil war is a real possibility depending largely on who Trump anoints as a successor to Maduro.
Not to mention that Trump’s promise to station US troops on Venezuelan oil fields isn’t going to sit well with the citizens.

Early reports are that Trump intends to push Maduro's VP, Rodriguez. I don't suspect that would go well with most Venezuelans and the opposition.
