Huggy may be okay with letting someone die in his place. I'm not. I believe that justice is violated if the wrong person is punished, or if the punishment is not appropriate to the severity of the crime.
This is why the probability of me becoming a Christian is a solid 0.0 - with substitutionary atonement, original sin, nonbelief as thought-crime, and the canard that a "crime" against an omnipotent deity merits eternal torture, the Christian worldview is the antithesis of morality and justice. Therefor the same laws that apply naturally apply spiritually. 1. Comparing consuming animals to human sacrifice voluntary or not ...... 2. Pardons don't demand one person take the punishment for someone else ..... Fail..Fail..Fail
