Stupid things religious people say
RE: Stupid things religious people say
In any case, misogyny in Christianity is something to behold, so if one church tones it down, others will see it as betrayal.

Here are a few snippets from an anti feminist article based on the writings by Carrie Gress "a scholar with the Institute for Human Ecology at the Catholic University of America". And beside giving a fictional representation of the subject, they are using the usual Catholic and Christian sound bites like the devil, occult, communism, and etc. to scare the sheep from being affiliated with it.

As you read the article, you see that the ignorance of the Catholic Church is infinite, and is only matched by its paranoia.

"Women must obey, and everything else is a betrayal of church, morality, civilization, God, and whatnot. The church knows what is best for women, and treating women as mindless slaves is love." But, of course, women are just stand-in. Men don't fare any better since these sick fucks still can't get over the French Revolution and they still dream of the totalitarian "glory" they once had over peasants in medieval Europe.

Ok, I'll put the article in hide tags since it's a bit long.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Some of the shit I find? So, are you saying that EWTN, Christian channels on YouTube, Catholic World Report, The National Catholic Register, Aleteia, and even Pontifex University (who all heavily feature this person and her views) are all full of shit? If so, don't you think you are being arrogant?

CBN again equates homosexuality with satanism. You can see from these kinds of articles that the Catholic Church misses a lot the times when they burned women alive.

Quote:From 'Borderline Satanism' to God Encounter: Former Lesbian Says Jesus 'Completely Transformed' Her

Rivas says she was despondent and on the brink of suicide. However, a strange email notification led her to randomly purchase a Bible at a local Walmart. Rivas said that as she began to read the New Testament, the Spirit of God filled her car and her life was "completely transformed" in that moment.

She told CBN News that because she didn't have a solid relationship with Christ, she was led by the wrong influences.

"I was just following the world, and I was super (impressionable), because I didn't have Jesus," she said. "When you don't have Jesus as your anchor, like you're just looking at what's around and you want to be a part of it."

"I go into this high school where they're telling me that it's actually weird that I'm not homosexual," she shared, explaining that was when she began "entertaining homosexual relationships."

With little guidance and direction, Rivas also began to experiment with drugs.

Rivas said she also struggled with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. All of that was exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the height of lockdowns, social distancing, and isolation, she turned to TikTok.

As CBN News reported, the popular social media platform known for quick videos, one-minute dance challenges, and viral trends, became a big hub for witches and warlocks around the pandemic.

Videos with the hashtag #WitchTok had amassed more than 30 billion views and made it easier for would-be witches or those interested in the occult to learn more about it.

Rivas was one of its viewers. "Like I said, for a teenager who doesn't have Jesus, the culture impacts you so much. So it's almost like being a witch was cool," she recalled. "I didn't think of it as like a witch, like a warlock or something like that. I just thought it was cute."

The young woman explained that she began to go deeper into witchcraft after she met a girl who worshipped the "idol of death."

"I'm sitting there worshiping death. And it's borderline Satanism," she added.

The 22-year-old said she eventually married that girl, but the relationship was "very controlling and very toxic."

Rivas says she has fully surrendered her life to Jesus and now spends her time proclaiming the Gospel message on social media.

"I got baptized, and that was nine months ago," she said, adding that God has called her to make an Instagram account to share what He has done for her.

"He's grown it in like seven months from zero to 78,000 followers. And that's all Him," Rivas expressed. "I just proclaim Jesus everywhere I go."

The article is riddled with lying for Jesus. I mean, what kind of high school tells a child to be gay? And at the end you can see she's in the religious business shilling her Instagram account as a Christian influencer, while CBN gets another scary story to brainwash the gullible.

That's one of the more disturbing things about Christianity - it's making young women think that being a lesbian witch is somehow a BAD thing.

Alleged Virgin Mary Apparition in Northern Rwanda Draws Crowds, Reignites Church Debate

The reports began circulating on Friday, January 16, 2026, and gained momentum on the morning of January 17, when word spread that two children from Rwinzovu Integrated School, located in Murago Cell, had seen an apparition of the Virgin Mary near their school and in the vicinity of Busogo Catholic Parish, which falls under the Catholic Diocese of Ruhengeri.

According to the children’s account, a boy and a girl in Primary Four, they were returning home from school when they reportedly saw an image of the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus, both said to be wearing crosses. The children claimed the image first appeared on an electricity pole before later appearing in a nearby tree.

As the story spread, large numbers of people converged on the area, some traveling from different parts of the country. Witnesses said crowds gathered near the alleged site, with some singing, praying, and spending the night there. Several individuals claimed they saw images resembling the Virgin Mary, while others left disappointed, having seen nothing unusual.

Musanze Mayor Nsengimana Claudien said authorities visited the site after reports of large gatherings, including children, elderly people, and youth.

“We found more than a thousand people gathered, but there was nothing unusual observed,” the mayor said. “This story is not true. It is a rumour.”

Due to safety concerns and the continued attraction of crowds, the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) removed the electricity pole cited in the children’s account.

The Catholic Church also responded promptly, emphasizing that the verification of apparitions is not determined by individuals or popular belief but follows a strict and lengthy process guided by Church doctrine.

The Parish Priest of Busogo Parish, Jean Bosco Nambaje, reminded Christians that their faith is rooted in Sacred Scripture, Church teaching, and tradition—not unverified claims.

“Matters like these require great discernment,” he said. “The Virgin Mary does not simply appear to thousands of people at once, nor without delivering a clear message, as has been the case in recognized apparitions.”

The Musanze incident has inevitably drawn comparisons to Rwanda’s only officially recognized Marian apparitions, which occurred in Kibeho, Nyaruguru District, between 1981 and 1989. Those apparitions, later approved by the Catholic Church after more than two decades of investigation, involved three secondary school girls and have since made Kibeho a major international pilgrimage site.

Today, Kibeho receives close to half a million pilgrims annually. During the Assumption celebrations in 2024 alone, an estimated 85,000 pilgrims visited the site. Religious tourism has transformed the once-rural area, spurring infrastructure development, hotel construction, and major investment. Under Rwanda’s Vision 2050 and national land-use plans, Nyaruguru has been designated a hub for religious tourism.

The Olympics opening ceremony has again offended Christians.

Quote:The opening ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics has sparked intense backlash on social media after several commentators accused the organizers of showcasing ‘satanic symbols’. Videos from the ceremony, which was attended by VP JD Vance and his wife, Usha, are going viral on social media. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is yet to comment on the accusations.

Users slammed the organizers, saying that they could spot an upside-down pentagram just in the end.

“Of course, we get a satanic pentagram to end the opening ceremony for the Olympics from the demonic globalists trying to destroy the West. They're not even trying to hide it,” one person wrote on X.

“Look at this blatant worshipping of a flaming pentagram, at the Olympics’ opening ceremony. They play choral music as if it’s some holy event. Liberalism has always been rife with Luciferians who think Satan is a hero who brought knowledge to Adam and Eve,” another one tweeted.

“It really doesn’t get any more IN YOUR FACE than this… A clearly visible upside-down pentagram at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. Revelation of the method. As if you needed more PROOF that this world is run by satan and his minions," a third person wrote on X.

However, there is no evidence to back these theories.
