Random Humorous Things - A Light-Hearted Thread
RE: Random Humorous Things - A Light-Hearted Thread
I knew a mechanical design checker that used to fall asleep checking drawings- they were on paper, and getting close scrutiny.  Hehe

I suspect falling asleep at work may be a hint. To either get more sleep or find a new job.  Cool

Or you were getting in a "power nap" in order to be more productive after the fact.

I used to do this all of the time.  30 minute power nap, then several more hours of effort, to get the job done.  I'd snore and dream and the whole nine yards during that half hour.

I've always been "blessed" to have the ability to sleep anywhere at any time.  I even fell asleep standing up, during an overnight inventory, when I worked retail in high school.  They said I was snoring.
Disappointing theists since 1968!

Not me. When I fall asleep, I fall over if not already lying down. I sometimes do fall asleep sitting at the computer these days, though. I get a stiff neck, but at least don't fall over.

My dad could fall asleep sitting up. Me, I have to be horizontal. Back when he managed the golf course, I noticed his truck in the driveway, him, sitting in it, eyes closed. I thought sure he was dead.

...so tired...I worked a 25-hour shift back in '05, went home, and the lines on the road looked like worms crawling along the highway, I was so tired. Got home at 5 AM, and slept for shit. Called at 10 AM by the department secretary to escort a new hire around on our project. Did another long day, but I'd brought a pillow and a sleeping bag that day, and slept in some guys' office (who had already gone to support the project out of state). I'd've been dead, if I'd tried to drive home after that ordeal. There had been many a long day when I served in the Navy, but I was 30 years younger, then.

I fell asleep at the Day On The Green Concert at Oakland Colosseum (83 or 84).

I slept through Journey.

They told me I didn' t miss much.

Boru

At 29 I had just bought my first house, and it needed work. A bit short of money so I got a boarder.  Working full time and attending University part time. That wasn't enough, so I go a weekend job delivering Newspapers to agents. That was from around 12.30 AM to 4 AM.
Looking back It's a wonder I'm still alive. These days I'm doing well if I don't have a 2 or 3 hour grandpa nap. Dodgy
