Random Humorous Things - A Light-Hearted Thread

Must have been a toy wooden boat in the bathtub writ large, then. Kids and their imaginations!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
This might not be so light-hearted, but I certainly find this humorous. It all started with this To Catch a Predator clip:
Yes, this guy's screen-name was Canirapeyouanally. He's a vile excuse for a human being, but that screenname strikes me as hilarious for several reasons:
No, not more of this guy's deeds, and that's not why I posted it here. The first result that wasn't a YouTube video was the Twitter search for the hashtag #canirapeyouanally. Once you get past the first screen, you start seeing something strange. On 8 May 2011 (and to a lesser extent, on 20 March of the same year), I think this episode reaired sometime around then, because the name started to trend, and from all the posts that started to appear, well, to quote Mikey Chappell during the first wave, "#CanIrapeyouanally is trending because everybody is tweeting about how #canIrapeyouanally is trending. It's logic bitches." That didn't stop people from doing even more posts like "WHAT THE FUCK??!!!!?!! WHY is # trending?!?!! SOMEONE please tell me!!" Wow. They got a hashtag to trend solely because people were asking why it was trending. There's got to be a name for that phoenomenon.
Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.
I was born with the gift of laughter and a sense the world is mad. RE: Random Humorous Things - A Light-Hearted Thread

Disappointing theists since 1968!

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
