Vatican II, became the "open door" to Liberalism in the church, and the continued corruption and tolerance of abuse within the church.

The amount of gays in the clergy is enormous.

What a shock. We'd never have guessed that using the clergy as a dumping ground for embarrassing relatives would have any lasting consequences. Especially after you made them nominally celibate and had them run around in "clerical robes" all day.

But "gays" aren't your problem. Pedophiles are. Sorry, my mistake. Raging bigotry and a room temperature IQ are your problem.

Because the church has been infiltrated for almost a century. And the crimes have been covered up.

The RCC has been so irredeemably corrupt for millennia that infiltrating it would have been an improvement. It started off as the old Roman Empire and spent 1500 years with little to no oversight and near absolute power. Its crimes are only now beginning to be exposed. You'll note that it is the secular authorities doing the work, dragging your church kicking and screaming out of the dark ages to face modern justice. It'd be hilariously naive of you to suggest that this is a problem of the last few decades if it weren't so tragic.
