Recipe: Not Sure Where to Put This

Recipe: Not Sure Where to Put This
Hi Folks,

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in one of the sciences, and I'm still a noob on the site, so I'm not sure where to post recipes, so here goes nothing...

HONEY APPLESAUCE HEMP LOAF

1/2 Cup Softened Butter (plus extra for pan)
3/4 Cup Granulated White Sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
1 1/4 cup (unsweetened) Applesauce
1 Egg

1 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Cinnamon (to taste)
1/3 Cup Hemp Hearts (hulled hemp seeds)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
Grease a large loaf pan with butter.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar, and then mix in honey, applesauce, and egg - set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Slowly combine the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and gently stir until just combined (don't over-mix).
Gently fold in hemp hearts and transfer the mixture into the greased pan.
Bake in the center of preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until tester comes out clean.

Allow loaf to cool for at least 5 minutes before transferring out of pan and onto a cooling rack.
Allow loaf to cool on rack for 2-3 hours before slicing (good luck with that).
This loaf freezes well in slices or whole, and will last at room temperature for 5-6 days (as if).

Enjoy  Hungry

Ah, people today have to have all these fancy-schmancy breads, but what happened with the good old slice of bread with some butter? For example, when I was a young lad during the California gold rush, a slice of bread cost $1 or $2 if you wanted it buttered. That's the equivalent of over $28 and $56 today. People just don't appreciate what they have.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

LOL! "Fancy-schmancy" and "Young lad during the California gold rush"  Hilarious

I most often make simple breads (3-5 ingredients - about $1 per loaf). The recipe I've shared here is a "quick bread" which is sweet, and similar in density to a banana bread or a zucchini bread. I had the ingredients in my cabinet and I worked with what I had on hand.

As far as the "people today" part of your comment goes, this recipe (minus the hemp hearts) has been around for hundreds of years. Cheers!
