and face the consequence for their choices.   hysterically indignant the west may outwardly be at the price Ukraine is paying, many a country have paid far, far steeper prices for exercising their right to pick allie’s unwisely and without appropriately gaming out the consequences to all involved and their probable reaction to these consequences.

Basically hysteria in the west or all an act foolish people on the street were put up to to serve much less sympathetic underlying motives.   NATO encouraged ukraine to act foolishly and then absorb the consequence because NATO wrote Ukraine off. Consequence t Ukrainian losses abs suffering does not signify so long as russia is thereby hurt.

I suspect Russia is one of the few nations that believe Ukrainian suffering doesn’t signify. I’m chalking this one up to you being so used to criticizing the west, and with no end of instances to have done so, that this just tripped a circuit.

Russia has a huge amount defensive interest at stake that could very reasonably be said justify this degree of violent reaction.

I don’t think you use the word logic knowing what it means.

Yes, I do. I question if you know what it means. Because you display the contrary.

I don't think you understand what the word reasonable means. Because this temper tantrum from Russia isn't it.

Still playing whack a mole with bad faith arguments. I feel confident that you’re over correcting here.

You’re surrounded, on these boards, by people who have a long and well demonstrated history of criticizing us (and..broadly, western)foreign policy. If you took this show to an elks lodge it might make some sort of purely utilitarian sense.

I have no sympathies for Western imperialism or Russian imperialism

If your nation's defenses are under threat fix your defenses don't launch pointless invasions of your neighbors

if no one did a brutus on trump in a supposed citadel and beacon of democracy, precious little chance of finding a brutus in a putin’s country that has known no successful leaders ever who were not autocrats.
