Russia and Ukraine
RE: Russia and Ukraine
Howsabout the us annexes taiwan and threatens to nuke mexico if china does anything about it?

End of the day, any variation on the theme of ukranians placing themselves into russian hands so that someone somewhere else can sleep a little easier doesn't sit well.

It seems like Might makes Right.

In high school, I wrote a term paper, which I presented orally, on a One World Government. Everyone laughed (literally) at me.

And, so, when Ukraine wins and joins NATO, no issues then with nuclear weapons being in Ukraine?  Russia should just accept that??

How about if the United States should build ICBMs in Taiwan?  Should China just accept that?
There is no evidence NATO was going to put Nukes in Ukraine so this scenario doesn't work and even if they did yes they should because NOTO is never going to strike first.

If The US builds  ICBMs it would be for defense so yes China has to suck it up.

And there will never be a one-world government.

IDK if the rule of might would favor russia.

Kids are cruel.  Why did they laugh?  Was your one world government the exertion of pure might in practice, or did it ground itself in some set of ideals you admired but they found silly?

Yeah, that might be something new - NATO nukes in Europe pointed at Russia. Good thing THAT’S never been the case, huh?

And I’m not sure why the US would put ICBMs in Taiwan. It’s less that 200km from China.

Yup, which means nothing as in principle it never will strike first.

I got the idea from reading Carl Sagan.
