Just want to make sure that what we do is the right thing.  Do you believe that President Biden should commit United States troops to fight alongside the Ukrainians?  If not, why not?
No, he shouldn't. Ukraine must win this war, not America. We can give them the tools to win but this victory must be theirs and theirs alone.

It's both.  I fear global thermonuclear war, and I am tired of my government wasting my tax dollars!
Help Ukraine defend itself is not a waste

Help Yemen defend itself against Saudi Arabia should also not be a waste.
Same for Palestine against Israel, right?
Not to mention countless civil wars between factions within "countries" spread all over the world, but seemingly concentrated in Africa and South America.

The thing is... what is the US government's interest in helping Ukraine, while not helping the others?
Could it have something to do with the interest that Russia has in Ukraine, too?

Ah yes, this tired reframe of either you help everyone or you help no one and yes it does have to do with Russian interests Russia's interest in invading Ukraine and erasing it from existence which is why it's not being invaded by Brazil...... Dodgy

It’s partly that, but mostly because the Budapest Memorandum is considered - by people who study this sort of thing - to be treaty-equivalent.

Why would anyone expose such potent weapons to such easy destruction? You keep them far away from danger so your deterrent cannot be broken. These weapons generally have ranges between 500 and 8,000 km. Your suggestion exposes these weapons to a quick first strike.

Who's to tell them otherwise? Probably one of their own generals, making the above point.

You really ought to read up on this some more.

Call me when Yemen is an ally in standing like Europe is to America.

I won't hold my breath.

I'd love to see America cut off aid to both Israel and Saudi Arabia, myself.
