Russia and Ukraine

In Russia, Gorbachev is considered to be a Chamberlain-like figure, who naively accepted false promises in exchange for "peace in our time."

He was promised that in exchange for the peaceful reunification of Germany, NATO would never expand even one inch to the east. This was promised by Helmut Kohl, James Baker, and Robert Gates.

However, as soon as the next President got into office the promise was broken.

So the Russians have learned that the US doesn't keep its promises.

Really, so now you're crying for the breakdown of the USSR.

And where is that agreement that you speak about? Who signed it?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

If america doesn't keep it's promises...invade ukraine. It's always crazy, but it doesn't have to make sense because the nuts don't care. They don't even give a shit about whatever they're pretending to give a shit about it. So a country breaks it's promises, backs out on security deals. Is that bad? Would that be bad? Awesome, that's what russia did by incompetently invading ukraine. Now the bully is whining to the principle because the scrawny kid beat his ass, and all of his wothless friends are there selling alternative facts from a fantasists reality to keep their pal out of trouble.

America did lie: Ukraine was told not to develop nuclear weapons with the assurance that the US and the West will protect them if Russia attacks them.

lol, like Russia was a naif in the woods after 55 years of Cold War. Like the USSR never abrogated an agreement. Like the Minsk Accords meant anything in Moscow. Like the Russians/Soviets are honest players.

I made alterations, but if you squint at it in just the right light you'll see neither the us nor russia did anything wrong!  Obviously, ukraine should accept it's fate.  Another perfect phone call.

And do you have any other commentary about my comparison between Munich 1938 and now? Or did the name “Chamberlain” somehow trigger your chatbot?

No he isn't and the only ones who disrupted peace is Russia as sovereign nations are allowed to pick their own allies

Doesn't matter what he was promised (This isn't correct by the way ) as sovereign nations are allowed to pick their own allies

The president was under no obligation to retain said supposed promise
