If guns aren't the problem, but people are, why allow guns to be given to the people who are the problem?

My first thought would be to have "I can.'t be trusted" tattooed on the forehead of the problem children....... But APPARENTLY that idea offends some people My second - was to make them get a "No Guns" logo on their identification - and require an ID check on ALL guns sales. It would be a felony to sell a gun to a problem child. But the naysayers say that won' t work because the bad children won' t comply with the requirement. Well gee - by that logic there' s no point in making assault, rape or murder illegal. They' re gonna do it anyway.....
I like shooting guns at the range for fun, but I have friends who own some and I shoot theirs (throwing some money for ammo, of course). Having one for self-defense frankly just isn't appealing to me. I don't think it's necessary and I'm not comfortable carrying.

I don't carry because I had nerve damage a few years ago that made it so my hands, arms, and shoulders weren't always under my control. I did carry prior to that and may again since I've healed. I used to love to go target shooting but that is something I gave up for the reason above. Before I would carry again, I would go to the range first to make sure that I have the physical ability to do so safely.
Now that covid is for the most part over, our the monthly outdoor range shoot is going to start again. I get to pull the trigger on some guns (full auto) I'd never have to chance to otherwise. And the tannerite targets makes it a bit more fun.
Plus I've been whacking invasive species in the yard, fucking grackels, I hates them.

I don' t mind grackles.
It' s the cowbirds that annoy me. Fucking parasites. .... Live examples are hard to find around here... (April 6, 2022 at 3:58 pm)onlinebiker Wrote: I don' t mind grackles. Grackles haven't yet migrated to the subdivisions yet but every damn parking lot is full of those damn things. If they show up here...down will come the bird feeders. Right now I have a wonderful variety of birds that visit the yard for a tasty treat. Grackles are NOT welcome. |
