Religion is a relic of the past

RE: Religion is a relic of the past
Fun fact Alexander The Great ran the kingdom of Macedonia at 16. Could Lek run a whole kingdom?

I think it could it be devastating for life to leave a decision like that in their hands.  Let them go into then world and experience it on their own before making a decision that they must deal with for life.

I actually learn a lot from my 17 year old granddaughter and her crew of friends.  True they haven't lived as long as I have but they have good input on things today.  At this point they are making life choices of all sorts.  Their knowledge is of the world today about things that can make people uncomfortable aren't as hidden as they were when I was a senior in HS back in the 70s.

People who were LGBTQ+ were quite deeply alone in the closet back then.  Today is better with much more acceptance, even here, deep in the heart of Texas.

A different perspective isn't necessarily an incorrect perspective.  And, they are moving in the world they live in.  Not the one I lived in at their age.

You are quite dismissive of teens.  Have you met one lately?

I sure have.

Well, you don't seem to understand them and are absurdly dismissive of them.

I understand them very well. I think you're the one who doesn't understand them. That's why we have so many laws protecting the and limiting their freedoms.

Therefore there's no such thing as a teenager worth listening to?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

All teenagers are worth listening to. That doesn't mean they are fit to make wise life-altering decisions.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

There are supposed adults who aren't fit to make wise any kind of decisions.

Your point is?

I going to say hazard you don't considering your attitude towards them..... Dodgy

Nah I'll say otherwise as I actually treat them like thinking beings.

Yup we also give them plenty of freedom and everyone has laws protecting and limiting their freedom. None of that is an argument against them having judgment sufficient to make their own choices about their bodies and their identities. this is a piss poor argument.
