Natural family planning
[Image: ddbj3cf3_2121ga10212e5950_659161ih40192804864_n.jpg]

The Address of Pope Pius XII to the Conference of the
Italian Catholic Union of Obstetricians in Collaboration with
the National Federation of Colleges of Catholic Midwives
October 29, 1951:

"Serious motives, such as those which not rarely arise from medical, eugenic [i.e. concerns related to the health of the offspring], economic, and social so-called "indications," may exempt husband and wife from the obligatory positive debt for a long period, or even for the entire period of matrimonial life. From this it follows that the observance of the natural sterile periods may be lawful, from the moral viewpoint -- and is lawful in the conditions mentioned."

Q. What do Catholics call women who use the withdrawal method of birth control?

A. Mothers!

Studies have show that relying solely on the Rhythm Method is almost twice as effective as hoping.

I also don't get why the Pope only allows Catholics to have sex in a missionary position. Like, what is the (theological) difference between the missionary position and doggy?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That’s a myth. While the church frowns on sexual acts that have little or no chance of producing offspring, Catholics (provided they’re straight and married) have no restrictions on doggystyle, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, or the Bolivian pretzel.

Well geez, Messiah, doggy style is too animalistic.

Woman on her back, submissive, doing her Catholic duty is the only way.

 - Whey do they call it practicing the rhythm method?

-Because you can never perfect it.

From time to time priests take time out from quality time with young seminarians to tell the faithful that sex is not for pleasure but only for procreation, and they figure the missionary position is the one most likely to result in future tithe-paying Church members.

Another myth. The church encourages sexual pleasure between straight, married people.

As I have posted before, I am a transgender female; my wife and I have 5 children (4 adult, one 12 years old), all of whom were conceived while I lay on my back. Things simply do not work in any other "position" for me, and so, the "withdraw" method would not be practical for us as a couple, but, since my wife is 48, we are not too concerned at this point.

Even the married couple had (or still has) a strict checklist of what they are not allowed to do sexually. Like, they could not do sex in any other position than missionary, they were not allowed to have sex if a wife was menstruating, if she is pregnant, if it was lent, during advent, during Easter week, during the fast day, during Sunday, Friday, Wednesday, Saturday, during daylight, if they were naked, and only once a week. Or at least that was during medieval times.

Also, I have heard that the Pope does not allow oral sex on a man, and when I researched it on the net, I found that the Church allows the blowjob as long as the man does not ejaculate in her mouth but in the vagina.
