Have you ever Met-up with an online Buddy?
November 27, 2022 at 1:17 pm
Did you ever meet a stranger from chat board in real life? How'd that go? Did they meet your expectations?
If you could have, but did not, why not?
I have a story to tell if you don't got anything on this....

Tried twice, failed. Then one and died on me/us.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Yes. One from a wood working forum, a couple from a truck forum and a bunch from a car forum. Meeting worked out well, as they were screened by many months or even years, of online interactions.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

A couple of times. Once a group of us had a coffee shop meetup, and on another occasion I met with someone to do a DVD swap.

SEC football fans tailgated together. Big fun. No disappointments, which likely left me as the disappointment.
Also did group hikes and canoeing trips. Nothing weird, well, except for me.

Didn't quite meet anyone, but I do sometimes follow Huggy on the road to see where he goes, and I watch with binoculars and thermal cameras into his appointment.
Ha ha, jk.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
