I was thinking about this the other day, and while some people refer to the foetus as a parasite, I think there's a better analogy to be made. A virus isn't technically alive on its own, but by commandeering the machinery of the cell it is able to control the host cells and direct their activity and even procreate. Prior to viability, a foetus is more closely analogous to a virus than either a parasite or a baby.

Who cares, we kill fully born human beings too. Religious nuts don't care if we kill people, babies or otherwise. They only care that we kill the right people, which god will reward us for, and don't kill the wrong people, which god will punish us for.

Likely with hurricanes or somesuch shit. There's no reason to pretend there's anything else to it. Unborn babbies and pregnant whores are both chips in a purely transactional political religion.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
