Arewethereyet, and GN: "Circumcision and clitoral removal are barbaric.  Talk to your fellow abrahamists about it.". Yes, so-called female-circumcision is completely and inherently wrong, and God never asked for such a horrible thing; as for male circumcision, it was always planned as something only temporary, and Jesus Christ has redeemed us Christians from the necessity of it; painful circumcision now being replaced, by the Blood of Christ, by painless Baptism. As St. Thomas observes, by circumcision men (like Abraham etc) of old testified that Christ was yet to come, and painful expiation of sins had yet to be made. But by Holy Baptism, we now testify that Christ has already come, and redeemed us from our sins on the Cross. The Moral Precepts of the Gospel go beyond that of the OT, for e.g. Christ commands to forgive unconditionally and love even our Enemies and not just our Neighbors only, but many of the ceremonial precepts of the OT were nailed to the Cross.

So take it up with the Judaizers, you know, those whose claims the Apostles rejected in the Council of Jerusalem in A.D. 48, in Acts 15, when they unanimously decreed Circumcision was in no way necessary for Christians, but only the Grace of Jesus Christ. Jews of course, still under the law, believe the same error, and our Muslim friends also, misguided into what is basically an Arabian form of Judaism, with some changes, practice circumcision and other errors under the law.

Regards,
Xavier.

You seriously don't believe that Christian boys are being circumcised?

So, I found it on page 111 of this document. That said, somehow, I doubt that you actually looked very far into it. You probably just looked into this Human Life International page that actually uses the phrasing you quoted.

Why do I doubt you looked too far into it? Well, that exact same page that included the cited statistics also said this: "Most of those who de-transitioned did so only temporarily: 62% of those who had de-transitioned reported that they were currently living full time in a gender different than the gender they were thought to be at birth." Which means that the rate of total, long-term detransition is closer to 3% overall.

And that's not all! The survey actually goes into the reasons they gave for doing so. And what percentage of the detransitioners do you think said "They realized that gender transition was not for them"? 5%. There's a lot of other reasons given, and the vast majority of them were due to external pressure (from friends, family, employers, what have you). All this information was on the same fucking page as the stat you cited.

So, the actual overall rate of detransition for reasons that aren't related to external pressures forcing them back into the closet? 0.4%. That's 1 in 250. And, make no mistake, those 1 in 250 deserve all the support they can get, but denying the other 249 the help they need is no solution.

And even if he's right that's a pitifully small number of detransitioners and doesn't even come close to doing what transphobes cite it for which of course is trying to invalidate trans identities.

And looking at the reasons given actually undermines their concern trolling, because they’re the people responsible for 95% of it.

Oh of course they don't really care about any of this it's all just political theater to push their real agenda.
