1. Said he will now behave “worse” than he did before.

2. Talked about his friend “the late great Hannibal Lecter.”

3. Said he hits golf balls really hard and he taught a pro-golfer new tricks.

4. Said Margaret Thatcher never laughed like Kamala Harris.

5. Lied about his crowd sizes over and over.

6. Said he is like Elvis but “with no guitar.”

7. Said he wants to start a fight league for professional UFC fighters to attack migrants.

8. Asked people if they remembered Hunter Biden’s laptop.

9. Said Kamala Harris is a lunatic and she can only beat him if she cheats.

10. Said San Francisco is communist.

Seems even trump can sometimes speak truth. I mean I suppose that Margaret Thatcher indeed never laughed like Kamala Harris though I've no idea if this is supposed to be compliment or critique.

At the Florida summit, hosted by conservative group Turning Point Action, Trump promised that if he wins in November, he would “once again appoint rock-solid conservative judges who will protect religious liberty.”

After repeating his usual unfounded claims about mail-in voting, Trump launched into an appeal directed at Christian voters. “Christians, get out and vote!” yelled Trump. “Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years. You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine! You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians!” He added, “You gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”

I think he said "I'm a Christian" with a little slop in the delivery.

Quote:But there’s something the Democrats can do that would not just put a lump in people’s throats with its appeal to stop-Donald-Trump-at-all-costs unity, but with its originality and sense of sacrifice. So here’s my pitch to the writers’ room: The Democratic Party should pick a Republican.

At their convention next month, the Democrats should nominate Mitt Romney.

Nominating Mr. Romney would be putting our money where our mouth is: a clear and powerful demonstration that this election isn’t about what our elections are usually about it, but about stopping a deranged man from taking power. Surely Mr. Romney, who doesn’t have to be introduced to voters, would peel off enough Republican votes to win, probably by a lot. The double haters would be turned into single haters and the Nikki Haley voters would have somewhere to go, Ms. Haley having disqualified herself when she endorsed the leader of an unsuccessful attempt to overthrow the government.

Shut up Sorkin, you fucking idiot. The only difference between Romney and T****y is that T****y is willing to shout the evil shit out loud.

I’ve made my disdain for polling pretty clear. Here’s a better metric.

-In just over one week, the Harris campaign has raised $200 million. This is considered good fundraising for an entire month.

-Roughly two-thirds of her contributions have come from first-time donors.

-The campaign is trying to deal with the logistics of parcelling work out to 170 000 volunteers.

All in one week. This isn’t a ‘sugar rush’ or a honeymoon period - this is real momentum.

As an outsider to both countries, I'm seeing a parallel between the Harris campaign and the Ardern campaign in NZ.

Quote:The GOP mayor of Mesa, Ariz. — Phoenix’s largest suburb — endorsed Vice President Harris on Monday, saying only the vice president can “put country over party” in the November election.

Mesa Mayor John Giles wrote in an op-ed for The Arizona Republic that Republicans should reject former President Trump at the ballot box.

“Our party used to stand for the belief that every Arizonan, no matter their background or circumstances, should have the freedom, opportunity and security to live out their American Dream,” Giles wrote.

“But since Donald Trump refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 election, Republicans have yet to course correct,” he continued. “The Republican Party with Trump at its helm continues down the path of political extremism, away from focusing on our fundamental freedoms.”

Giles argued that President Biden and Harris have delivered for Arizona, pointing to infrastructure investments and new jobs, while Trump turned away from immigration reforms. He also argued that Harris represents a return to “decency” in politics.

[...]

“And it’s that same high caliber of character and leadership I see in Vice President Harris,” he wrote.

[...]

“That’s why I’m standing with her. Kamala Harris is the competent, just and fair leader our country deserves,” Giles said. “This year too much is at stake to vote Republican at the top of the ticket.”

I'm not sure how much weight his opinions carry inside the state, but it's nice to see another Republican making this point in an important swing state.
