RFK Jr. Wants to Send People on Antidepressants to Government “Wellness Farms”

presidential candidate and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. unveiled his plan to overhaul addiction treatment programs. Speaking during a live recording of the Latino Capitalist podcast, Kennedy described opioid, antidepressant, and ADHD “addicts” receiving treatment on tech-free “wellness farms,” where they would spend as much as three or four years growing organic produce.

On the farms, he said, residents would grow their own organic food—which would help them recover from addiction, “because a lot of the behavioral issues are food related. A lot of the illnesses are food related.” The idea that addiction is connected to consuming non-organic food is not backed by robust science—but it’s in line with many other unfounded claims that Kennedy has made in the past about pesticides and non-organic food causing chronic disease, behavioral problems, and autism.

Not if the Democrats win one or both houses of Congress (they get to approve a new VP). Trump might very well hang on to Vance just to keep from handing Dems a win. He’s petty like that.

No, it isn’t. He can pick whomever he likes, but that pick has to be confirmed by a majority of both houses of Congress. From the 25th Amendment:

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

So, if Trump wins and decides to dump Vance after the inauguration, a Democratic House or Senate could conceivably block his choice for a new VP.

It did though lethal injections also were used practically since the beginning. To quote from Alex Kay Empire of Destruction:

The first ‘special children’s ward’ was set up in summer 1940 in
Görden, Brandenburg. Its director was the psychiatrist Hans Heinze, who –
like Werner Catel – was one of the three consultants of the Reich
Committee. The senior physician on the ward was Dr Friederike Pusch; she
also trained doctors from other ‘special children’s wards’ in the methods
used to murder the patients. A total of 172 children were sent by the Reich
Committee to the ward in Görden; 147 of them, or 85 per cent, were
murdered there. In marked contrast to the circular decree issued by the
Ministry of the Interior on 18 August 1939, which had stipulated that
newborns and infants up to the age of three years be registered, more than
40 per cent of those murdered in Görden were aged between three and
thirteen years. (At the aforementioned Eglfing-Haar mental hospital,
almost 60 per cent of the victims were older than three years of age.) As a
rule, the children were murdered one at a time. For the most part, the
barbiturate phenobarbital was used, administered as tablets or by
injection, to induce hypostatic pneumonia, from which the children died.
In this way, death from ‘natural causes’ could be simulated. (At Eglfing-
Haar, 93 per cent of the children were murdered in this way.) It took
between two and five days for the children to die. By the end of the war, a
total of 1,270 children had died in the ‘special children’s ward’ in Görden,
while another 430 had been transferred from Görden to the gassing
