I trust Trump to lie all day, every day, too.

You're assuming that Cosby's hetero.

Who you rape isn't really a function of your sexuality, but of who is under your control. Plenty of hetero men rape other men and boys, because it those of the same sex as them under their control.

He's indeed a veteran, just not a combat veteran, same as Walz, same as I. And quite frankly, we each could have been asked to die for our country even in peacetime without seeing combat.

How did he get a "cushy job reserved for rich kids too stupid to get into officer school and too unruly to stay from out in front of a judge pleading guilty" when he wasn't a rich kid?

Finally, the US Armed Forces no longer accept recruits with an open court case against them.

He is an honorably-discharged veteran of the USMC. I say that even as I detest him and his politics.

Göring was an accomplished fighter pilot who earned the "Pour le Merite". He regularly put his life on the line in combat (and ironically in an insurrection). Yet he was a shameless looter and glutton, vain and cruel, only out for his own interest and advancement. Another ace pilot (Udet) killed himself because of Görings vices.

Having served well for your country, having fought bravely, means nothing, without context.

Nor, as he's now sold out his fellow veterans himself, Vance, for that matter.

Saying that Vance isn’t a veteran isn’t any different than the lies Vance tells about Walz’ service. Shame on you.

I didn't go to college till I was in my 50s.  I was not eligible to become an officer when I was in the service in my 20s.  I hadn't even been in ROTC in high school.  But I am a veteran.

Rules may be different in other countries but being an officer or not isn't a requirement for veteran status.  I have a DD214 that says I served in the US military...that makes me a veteran.  **edited to add - and honorably discharged.

Exactly. So much for loyalty to nation or oath. The USAF saw fit to relieve me honorably of my oath to our Constitution in 1996. I personally do not consider it expired and will never violate it. That Vance does speaks to his views on the solemnity of an oath.

Your service is pretty vapid if your life after your service is given to supporting someone who attacks the Constitution you've sworn to defend. But he is still a veteran, for whatever that's worth.

RE: 2024 US Presidential Election
Quote:Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume on Sunday argued that while former President Trump could win the November election, voters’ dislike of him makes him “not a majority candidate.”

When asked on “Fox News Sunday” why Trump is struggling to hold on to a lead over Vice President Harris in spite of polling showing most voters are displeased with the state of the country, Hume said, “Because he’s Trump.”

“When you get down to it, the past eight to 10 years have been about Donald Trump. Everything has been about Donald Trump,” he continued. “I don’t think that the Democrats would have let Joe Biden get as far as he did if it wasn’t — if the party hadn’t been confident that the Republicans were going to nominate Donald Trump again, which the Republicans did.”

Trump’s lead in the 2024 presidential race has narrowed in recent weeks following Harris entering the presidential race on the Democratic presidential ticket.

While Trump has a “very hard, solid base of support,” Hume argued, it does not go above 40 to 45 percent.

“So, his weakness is the predicate for our politics going back now three elections,” Hume said. “He was able to surmount Hillary Clinton, a uniquely unpopular opponent, but he couldn’t beat Biden, and you know, you look at the losses in the midterms — or the disappointing results in the midterms — it’s all about one thing, it’s about that.”

In the end, the enthusiasm felt among his supporters will not be enough to make him a “majority candidate,” Hume said.

“Donald Trump, no matter how enthusiastic his supporters are, nonetheless, is not a majority candidate. He might win, but he’s not a majority candidate,” he said.

Hume hit the nail on the head.

Donald Trump Falsely Claims Taylor Swift’s Endorsement with Garbage AI-Generated Posts

Donald Trump bizarrely and falsely claimed an endorsement from Taylor Swift on Sunday via a series of AI-generated images posted to his Truth Social account.

One of the images depicts a photoshopped picture of Swift dressed in an Uncle Sam-style outfit reminiscent of classic military recruitment posters, with text reading, “TAYLOR WANTS YOU TO VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP.”

Additionally, Trump shared a fake news article that falsely claimed Swift’s fans are “turning to Trump” following a recent terror plot targeting her concert in Vienna, Austria.

The collage of posts also featured AI-generated photos of women wearing “Swifties for Trump” t-shirts.

Trump captioned the collage with the words, “I accept!”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I assign the probability that Taylor Swift fans switch their vote to the chump so close to zero that it won't make a difference. Who in the hell is the chump campaign expecting to switch their vote(s)?  Huh
